Seeking a good day

Hisn al-Muslim 89; Abu Dawud 5091

Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillahi rabbil-'alamin, Allahumma inni as'aluka khayra hadhal-yawm, fathahu wa nasrahu wa nurahu wa barakatahu wa hudahu, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma fihi wa sharri ma ba'dah

Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillahi rabbil-'alamin, Allahumma inni as'aluka khayra hadhal-yawm, fathahu wa nasrahu wa nurahu wa barakatahu wa hudahu, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma fihi wa sharri ma ba'dah

We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day — its victory, help, light, blessing, and guidance — and I seek refuge in You from the evil within it and the evil that follows it.

Wa minhum man yaqulu Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar

Wa minhum man yaqulu Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar

For increase in knowledge

Quran 20:114

So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. Do not hasten with the Qur'an before its revelation to you is completed, and say: My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

For ease in a difficult task

Quran 20:25-28

Rabbi-shrah li sadri wa yassir li amri, wahlul 'uqdatan min lisani yafqahu qawli

Rabbi-shrah li sadri wa yassir li amri, wahlul 'uqdatan min lisani yafqahu qawli

My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease for me my task, and untie a knot from my tongue so they may understand my speech.

In times of distress

Quran 21:87

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin

There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.

For a steadfast heart

Quran 3:8

Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmah, innaka antal-wahhab

Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmah, innaka antal-wahhab

Walladhina yaquluna Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a'yunin waj'alna lil-muttaqina imama

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.

For patience and victory

Quran 2:250

Wa lamma barazu li-Jaluta wa junudihi qalu Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana wansurna 'alal-qawmil-kafirin
